Our History

From years of traveling around the world and learning the nuances and the fine art of winemaking, brewing and distillation. Our Master Roaster found his passion in coffee roasting. Looking back now, we have been around for over 10 years roasting coffee.
Our focus goes far beyond roasting and preparation, to the source of the raw material: the green coffee bean. Every coffee comes from a farm and has its own story, and providing the most direct connection between our customers and the coffee we roast. I want the tasting experience to be built around the knowledge of where and who grows the best tasting coffee. Roasting highlights the qualities inherent in each green coffee. Our small-batch roasting, sustainable sourcing and always-fresh mentality. Our mission is to make specialty coffee accessible to more people by creating exceptional coffee.

This is the way we express our coffee attitude at Café Mondo yyc. From our Micro-roasting House in Calgary, Alberta to your favorite cup, our very own Master Roaster roasts our coffee locally. He has chosen fresh green coffee beans from growers around the world and carefully handcrafted aromatic, flavourful roasting profiles for you to appreciate. The desire to bring out aroma, smoothness, flavour and hit all the right notes on the taster’s palate is our vision for the coffee we want you to Drink it, Love it and Share it….
